“ Sardi's is an old-time restaurant with a deep history on Broadway. The food's average the experience is priceless when I've recently taken friends there I go directly upstairs and try to get a seat at the bar for a couple drinks and nobody's gonna mind if you're looking at the celebrity sketches that fill the walls on unless someone's eating over one. Service is top-of-the-line and the food is not bad. It's just not above average so if you wanna eat there have lower expectations of the food and maybe it'll exceed your expectations. If you wanna put this on your list of things to do on Broadway make reservations if not, what I do is I walk directly upstairs to the bar because you can always order at the bar. No doubt there's gonna come a time where you're gonna go to Sardis if you go to Broadway if not, the curiosity will kill you, so go and know that many years ago celebrities sat around, waiting for the New York Times to see if the show was a hit and read the reviews. ”

“ A landmark restaurant in the theater district is a must do experience at least once in your lifetime. Great before or after shows. The who's who from Broadway normally hangout in the upstairs bar. A speciality drink is the champagne cocktail (a sugar cube, dashes Angostura bitters, Champagne, finished with a lemon twist) a tried and true cocktail that has stood the test of time. Service can be a little challenging especially if the restaurant is full. I have been here on several occasions by myself or attending sponsored events. The staff is friendly and respectful. I always walk away very satisfied and feeling like I have walked where stars and power brokers have mingled over the decades. A true New York experience that should be on your bucket list. ”

“ Came here with a group and got there pretty early. We were able to be seated right away, which was really nice. I will say as somebody who does not eat meat, there wasn't a huge selection of food. If you have dietary restrictions, I would avoid this location. The servers and buses were super kind, and I love the caricatures of the people on the walls. I wouldn't be opposed to returning to this location, but since my options are limited, it wouldn't be my first choice ”

“ This was my favorite dining experience on my trip. I sat at the bar and Enzo was amazing! The bar food choices aren't the best (it sounds like they do serve the main menu as well, but if you're sitting in certain spots, the plates literally won't fit), but I would probably still sit at the bar next time due to the experience. It was filled with so many theater lovers and it was so fun chatting with people. Highly recommend if you are going or coming from the theater and want to be in a theater atmosphere. It sounds like famous theater people also come hang out there. ”

“ Every New York locals and guests know that it is a fact historically be dined here either before or after any New York shows. Glad I finally able to experience this epic dream. Thought it will just be in movies that I'll be able to see this famous diner. We ordered what seems right for our cravings as we were hungry after the show. Of course, I have to try Sardis tradition meal. Am I satisfied? A bit . Oh well, it must be a special dish during the height of the restaurant's popularity. With all the booming Italian restaurants around, comparably, their meals are not that special. Traditionally same with others. It's the history we are paying here. Lovely to see all those former celebrities and popular people who dined here. Well, that's an epic and priceless experience. ”

“ My roommate and I got a quick drink at the cocktail lounge upstairs before our show. The bartenders were very nice and wished me a happy birthday! Sadly, my cocktail wasn't the best. It was SUPER sour. Bee's Knees are my favorite so I can be picky about them. ”
